Company History and Milestones
Autochart LLC is a relatively new company, formed in the year 2000 to develop and market their new technology. The technology was created in response to the need of more accurate and technologically advanced methods of collecting performance data and enhancing the racetrack’s television product.
The company’s tradition and expertise go way back to Video Projects, Inc., a pioneer in television services for racing.
Video Projects in its distinguished career, since it’s founding in 1954, has pioneered and brought about profound changes and innovations in the way we televise our sport. Today, the same spirit of innovation drives the Autochart effort with the company’s expertise of overt fifty years of service to the industry.
Some of the milestones are:
w 1958 first televised videotape racing patrol at Yonkers Raceway. Created the currently   used camera configuration for race coverage and officiating.
w 1958 introduced use of videotape instant replay at Yonkers Raceway.
w  Design, installation and operation of television systems for NYRA racetracks, Roosevelt Racetrack, Monmouth Park, Atlantic City Racecourse, Liberty Bell Racetrack, Hollywood Park, El Comandante, Batavia Downs, Garden State Park, Philadelphia Park, Freehold Raceway, The Meadowlands, Retama Park, Bally’s Entertainment OTW’s, and others
